Mr. Ian S. Parsard, MBA (Hons.), ACCA

Chairman

Ian Parsard joined the Jamaica Broilers Group in 1989 as a Senior Systems Analyst and was promoted to Project Leader in 1993. He progressed through a number of Senior Management positions including being appointed Vice President, where he has held responsibility for Accounting, Finance, Energy, Operations and Corporate Planning at varying intervals over his near 30 years with the Company. In 2012, he was appointed as the Group’s Senior Vice President and currently has responsibility for the Group’s Financial portfolio.

Though committed to the growth and development of the Group, he also serves as a Director of the Mustard Seed Agricultural Programme, Pan Jam Investments Limited; immediate Past President of the Jamaica Broilers Group Cooperative Credit Union; and current Chairman of the Board of 138 Student Living Jamaica Limited. He also rears livestock, providing jobs for several persons within the parish of St. Catherine.

Ian holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with First Class Honours in Computer Science and Electronics from the University of the West Indies, a Master in Business Administration with First Class Honours from the Wharton’s School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated as the Palmer Scholar and is a Certified Chartered Accountant.

He is married to Karen and they have three adult children – Renee, Janaki and Peter-John.

Ivan Carter

Deputy Chairman

Ivan is the Executive Vice president, Finance and Group CFO for Sagicor Group Jamaica. He is responsible to the President and the Boards of Directors for directing the Accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Management, Taxation and Regulatory Reporting functions of the Group in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), local laws and regulations and Sagicor Group Policies; Strategic Financial Management of the organization; leadership of the Group’s General Insurance and Captive Management interests.

He sits on the Board of Directors of several Sagicor Group Jamaica member companies.

John Lee

John Lee

John lee is the chairman of shareholder K limited. John has over the past 11 years presided over 6 residential developments including phase 1, 2 and 3 of the UWI Mona Project.

As a former Lead Partner of the Advisory Division of PricewaterhouseCoopers Jamaica John has led or been associated with a number of major financial transactions undertaken in the region in the recent past. These include the structuring of the first 30 year inflation-indexed bond used to finance Highway 2000 and lead negotiator in the acquisition of Harmony Cove in Western Jamaica. John has also been the lead advisor and negotiator in the major GOJ divestment initiatives including but not limited to those relating to the sugar, coffee and hospitality industries. John is a graduate of the Scottish Business School, University of Stratheclyde.

Marrynette Lee

Marrynette A Lee, a Director of K Limited, has over the last eight years presided over the design and construction of all of the 5 projects undertaken by K Limited. As part of the company’s strategy, Marrynette has undertaken the property management of a number of these complexes, circa 100 units, in an effort to ensure that they are maintained to a high standard.

Marrynette is a qualified general insurance professional who previously worked in the industry at the senior management level, thus having a vast amount of experience in risk mitigation.

Marrynette holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree from the University of the West Indies, Mona and an MBA from Manchester Business School (England).

Sharon Donaldson

Sharon Donaldson is the Managing Director of General Accident Insurance Company. She has grown with the Company for 20 years and is primarily responsible for driving its recent growth in underwriting and profits and its traditional strong relationships with local industry and international reinsurers. Sharon is also a Director of Musson (Jamaica) Limited, the parent company to General Accident, Eppley Limited, and Paramount Trading Jamaica Limited, all of which are listed on the JSE’s Junior Market.

Brenda-Lee Martin

Brenda-Lee Martin joined the Sagicor Group Jamaica in December 1992 where she has served in numerous capacities.

Brenda-Lee has a wealth of experience in the Investments Management and was appointed Vice President – Asset Management in 2015. She has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Sagicor Real Estate X Fund.

Under her leadership she has bolstered the growth and development of Sagicor’s Pension Portfolio with combined totals of JMD$180Bn. In addition to the pension portfolio she also has oversight of Property Services Business of the company. Sagicor Property Services (SPS) is the largest manager of private real estate on behalf of Sagicor and third-party property owners; SPS currently manages approx. 2.8m sq. feet of real estate.

Brenda-Lee holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of the West Indies, Mona in Economics & Management as well as Masters’ of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Wales’ Manchester Business School. She also holds a FLMI LOMA designation.

Peter Pearson

Peter Pearson a Chartered Accountant is a retired Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers Jamaica having served the organization for 39 years with 26 of those as a partner. As an assurance partner his portfolio of clients included companies in hospitality, banking, real estate, government and others. He is presently a director and member of the audit committee of a number of other companies. Peter has been a Justice of Peace since 1988.

Peter is a graduate of Cornwall College and the University of the West Indies from which he holds a BSc. (Management Studies). Peter is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.
